Bec produced and commissioned this short documentary on Yoshi, the young star of the fashion world. Jacob Hodgkinson and Louis Ellison captured him in his natural habitat, and amongst his family, to shine light on his inner world and inspirations. At 14-years-old Yoshi had catapulted to fame on instagram and gained attention, with his unique style, from the likes of Virgil Abloh, Nicola Formichetti, and Helmut Lang. On the streets of Tokyo he became a style icon. This observational documentary weaves together Yoshi’s life, between projects in fashion and culture, and his day to day in Tokyo. He’s revealed as the child that he is, and the close relationships that sustain him. Louis and Jacob managed to spend time with the artist and personality, as a young person, against the backdrop of his city both defining his identity and pushing him in new directions. Yoshi tragically died, in an accident, a few years after this film was made.
