In a dystopian future Em and Ly seek a night of escapism in a friend’s vacant home. When confined they are forced to confront the heartless extremities of their new world: their future, friendship and identities are called into question. OWN HOME? is a short piece of social realism with a dystopian, sci-fi, thriller twist and a touch of dark comedy. It is about friendship, housing and desire;  and what happens to desire when you lack real agency to make your own decisions. Bec shot OWN HOME? with the support of a number of her long-term collaborators and Armoury Films. The project is currently going through post production with Bec being mentored by Oscar winning director Darius Marder. This is Bec’s first narrative short film which she has both written and directed, was shot by Luciana Riso and is edited by Georgie Daley. The film stars Thea Gajic and Nina Singh.
