Bec had the pleasure of executive producing and commissioning this film about a scene very close to her heart. Christmas is one of the most emotional times of year, one where we return to our homes, reflect and reconnect with our loved ones and our relatives. For many of New York’s voguers and voguers worldwide, their houses are their families, with bonds thicker than blood. In this film House Of Xmas envisioned by Dazed, produced by BRAVÒ NYC and directed by Aurélien Heilbronn, Bec visited the streets of NYC, where ballroom culture was born, for an intimate insight into how people in the scene celebrate the festive time of year, with the close friends that they consider family. This film is a glimpse into one of the most important queer scenes in New York, and a meditation on the coming together, in this community, at this emotionally charged time of year. It is a story of community, family, love and of course, dance.
